Poppy & Finch
One-of-a-kind PNW native botanical centerpieces for special occasions,
events, homes or businesses, unique educational gifts and customized hands-on workshops.
Growing up as a child in Jakarta, Indonesia, I was always charmed by plants.
My fascination with their lives, how they grow, how they interact with animals and their functional
design led me to dream of a lifestyle that would serve their purpose.
We think of the earth as this enduring thing that nurtures us and will outlive us, but the truth is, it’s very fragile.
What we do for it while we’re here really does matter. I love being able to use my design skills to help
people understand that, and help them experience the beauty of giving the earth what it needs. I really believe
we have to plant locally and think globally. The plants we put in our gardens will feed the birds and butterflies
and all the other wildlife around us. Ninety percent of local leaf-eating insects, including caterpillars
that turn into butterflies, only can eat Native plants. Most of plants around us might be drought-tolerant but they are from Africa,
New Zealand, Australia, etc. Native plants is the base food web for the cycle of life. Gardening with Native is such
a rewarding experience, I really feel connected to nature.
I want to help people everywhere surround themselves with the real, authentic beauty of
this place, where we are so lucky to be living.

Pigeon Heart Designs
~ Lisa Hirsch ~
Pigeon Heart Designs, or simply- PHD is a jewelry company that taps into inspiration gathered from assessing strangers in the street, all the way to loved ones. We like to imagine our hand-hammered, organic jewelry on all different souls. PHD is the pride and joy of Lisa Hirsch: the primary maker and boss babe of the operation.
What makes PHD unique:
We believe art is a product of environment. Aside from the people we watch to glean the right visual fit from, we also absorb music, travels, podcasts, experiences, etc and transfer this all into the craft with a good dose of witchy magic.
We do not replicate other's styles because we have enough ideas and would't want that done to us!

Empowerment Collective
~ Nasreen Sheikh ~
Although only 10 years ago Nasreen could barely read or write, she now gives talks around the world about her life, the plight of child laborers, survivors of forced marriage, women’s empowerment, and the devastating effects of the fashion industry on the environment. She’s spoken at large international conferences such as the Foreign Trade Association in Brussels, Google in America, many women’s conferences, and dozens of universities in several countries.
Beautiful design with purpose in mind.
Welcome to Local Women's Handicrafts, we are fair trade, eco-conscious collective of women who create unique fashion and decor in Nepal. Our mission is to help empower other women and to help educate them so they can be in charge of writing their own destiny. We provide safe spaces for women who have escaped abusive practices in the textile industry and other injustices in their local communities.
Our manufacturing facilities allow these women to learn new skills and craft as a group to help heal and rehabilitate their spirits. Through raising awareness and making fashion in an ethical way we aim to end childhood slavery, forced marriage and other injustices against women.

The Herb Shoppe PDX
~ Amanda Furbee ~
Amanda Furbee’s interest in herbalism began at an early age but it wouldn’t be until 2010, when she moved to the Pacific Northwest, that her relationship with medicinal plants blossomed. The move from the east coast to the west coast would be more than a change of scenery, it brought her closer towards the wonderful world of herbalism. Ambitious to start learning she found a golden opportunity working at Portland’s first all organic herbal supplier, The Herb Shoppe. Her experience was even more fulfilling than she had hoped for, feeling invigorated Amanda knew this was a step in the right direction. To read more about Amanda, click here.
